Day 332 | Read the Bible in a Year
read the bible in a year: day 332 Galatians 3
1 O foolish Galatians, by what strange powers have you been tricked, to whom it was made clear that Jesus Christ was put to death on the cross? 2 Give me an answer to this one question, Did the Spirit come to you through the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? having made a start in the Spirit, will you now be made complete in the flesh? 4 Did you undergo such a number of things to no purpose? if it is in fact to no purpose. Day 331 | Read the Bible in a Year
read the bible in a year: day 331 Galatians 2
1 Then after the space of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus with me. 2 And I went up by revelation; and I put before them the good news which I was preaching among the Gentiles, but privately before those who were of good name, so that the work which I was or had been doing might not be without effect. 3 But not even Titus who was with me, being a Greek, was made to undergo circumcision: 4 And that because of the false brothers let in secretly, who More >

Patience had her perfect work in the Lord Jesus, and until the last day of the feast he pleaded with the Jews, even as on this last day of the year he pleads with us, and waits to be gracious to us. Admirable indeed is the longsuffering of the Saviour in bearing with some of us year after year, notwithstanding our provocations, rebellions, and resistance of his Holy Spirit. Wonder of wonders that we are still in the land of mercy!
Pity expressed herself most plainly, for Jesus cried, which implies not only the loudness of his voice, but the More >
The Beauty of Communion
In Matthew 26:26, Jesus continues to say, “While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
Jesus is still serving His people on the eve of His betrayal and capture. His capture was the least of importance to Him at the current moment. He was more concerned with preparing His disciples for the future. Jesus wanted to establish the fact that although He was going away, He would always be with them until the very end. Jesus was symbolizing the past More >

Look at David’s Lord and Master; see his beginning. He was despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Would you see the end? He sits at his Father’s right hand, expecting until his enemies be made his footstool. “As he is, so are we also in this world.” You must bear the cross, or you shall never wear the crown; you must wade through the mire, or you shall never walk the golden pavement. Cheer up, then, poor Christian. “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.” See that creeping worm, More >

read the bible in a year: day 330 Galatians 1
1 Paul, an Apostle (not from men, and not through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who made him come back from the dead), 2 And all the brothers who are with me, to the churches of Galatia: 3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, so that he might make us free from this present evil world, after the purpose of our God and Father: 5 To whom be the glory for ever and ever. So be it. 6 I More >
No Doubting!
In Matthew 26:25, Judas, who was betraying Jesus, said, “Surely it is not I, Rabbi?” Jesus said to him, “You have said it yourself.”
Judas thinks He can fool Jesus. I guess many of us have that same thought that we can fool God. This is where doubt sets in. Judas has seen Jesus do all these mighty miracles for three years but he acts like Jesus doesn’t know he is the one that will betray Him. We doubt God in a lot of areas of our lives too ranging from our careers to our health to our relationships. When the doubt sets in, More >

The word “hitherto” seems like a hand pointing in the direction of the past. Twenty years or seventy, and yet, “hitherto the Lord hath helped!” Through poverty, through wealth, through sickness, through health, at home, abroad, on the land, on the sea, in honour, in dishonour, in perplexity, in joy, in trial, in triumph, in prayer, in temptation, “hitherto hath the Lord helped us!” We delight to look down a long avenue of trees. It is delightful to gaze from end to end of the long vista, a sort of verdant temple, with its branching pillars and its arches of More >

read the bible in a year: day 329 2 Peter 3
1 My loved ones, this is now my second letter to you, and in this as in the first, I am attempting to keep your true minds awake; 2 So that you may keep in mind the words of the holy prophets in the past, and the law of the Lord and Saviour which was given to you by his Apostles. 3 Having first of all the knowledge that in the last days there will be men who, ruled by their evil desires, will make sport of holy things, 4 Saying, Where is the hope More >

read the bible in a year: day 328 2 Peter 2
1 But there were false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly put forward wrong teachings for your destruction, even turning away from the Lord who gave himself for them; whose destruction will come quickly, and they themselves will be the cause of it. 2 And a great number will go with them in their evil ways, through whom the true way will have a bad name. 3 And in their desire for profit they will come to you with words of deceit, like traders doing More >
