Repetitive Questions
In Matthew 21:23, when Jesus came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?”
Here we go again! Seems like this question always comes up by these same people. I wonder if Jesus ever gets tired of hearing the same question from the same people on a regular basis. His mighty works speak for themselves yet it is never enough for the world to accept. We see people everyday trying to deny who Jesus is More >

“Moab settled on his lees, he hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel.” Give a man wealth; let his ships bring home continually rich freights; let the winds and waves appear to be his servants to bear his vessels across the bosom of the mighty deep; let his lands yield abundantly: let the weather be propitious to his crops; let uninterrupted success attend him; let him stand among men as a successful merchant; let him enjoy continued health; allow him with braced nerve and brilliant eye to march through the world, and live happily; give him the buoyant spirit; More >
God’s Terms
In Matthew 27:42, the chief priest and the elders were mocking Jesus by saying, “He saved others; He cannot save Himself. He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him.”

God says salvation is on HIS terms. Salvation comes through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. People like to ridicule God for the good things that More >
Slander: James 4: 11
James 4: 11 – 12Do not speak evil against one another, brothers and sisters. Whoever speaks evil against another or judges another, speaks evil against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save and to destroy. So who, then, are you to judge your neighbor?
James has just written about deep spiritual truths regarding friendship with the world and the necessity of drawing near to God. Now he turns briefly to some very practical matters More >

Our Lord Jesus is ever giving, and does not for a solitary instant withdraw his hand. As long as there is a vessel of grace not yet full to the brim, the oil shall not be stayed. He is a sun ever-shining; he is manna always falling round the camp; he is a rock in the desert, ever sending out streams of life from his smitten side; the rain of his grace is always dropping; the river of his bounty is ever-flowing, and the well-spring of his love is constantly overflowing. As the King can never die, so his grace More >
