In Matthew 25:11, Jesus says in the parable, “Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’”

People like to test God to see what His breaking point is. We see it from Adam to the people in the days of Noah, to Sodom and Gomorrah, to the nation of Israel, even up until this present day and age. We always speak of the love, the compassion, and the mercy of God but we must not overlook the fact that God is just as much holy and just as He is all those other characteristics. One verse we must never forget is found in Galatians 6:7. It reads, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” Many people try to deceive God because they think they are smarter than Him. There are these silly plans and theories on “if judgment comes,” how they will escape it. Have you ever heard someone say they will live as foolish as they want their entire life and right before they take their last breath, they will accept Christ? I’m sure the people in the days of Noah came up with the same foolish concept. They probably said if the storm does come, we’ll just sit on top of the ark until it stops. They all died. God has the power to conceal our last breath from us and He also has the power to extend our last breath 10, 20, 30 years. Let’s be smart about our decisions to not live as foolish people.
