In Matthew 2:10, when the magi saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.

This is the typical reaction when we have found the salvation of the Lord. Many people place salvation and the new life as a thing or an entity. That is a terrible misconception we can have. Salvation is Jesus Christ. The new life is Jesus Christ. It is easy for us to overlook John 5:39-40 where Jesus says “You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.” Notice Jesus didn’t say in John 11:25-26 that He will  perform the Resurrection and give life but instead He said, “I am the Resurrection and the Life, he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.” As we can see here my precious brothers and sisters, it is all about Jesus. A dear friend of mine, when in doubt or when faced with controversial topics, he goes back to the foundation, “All I know is it’s all about Jesus!” I love that about him. Now, some opponents of the Gospel may say how can we believe in such a conceited God? Well that is just absurd. The question is how can we not believe in such a loving God. How is this love? Jesus does all the work through the His sacrifice on the cross and we reap all the benefits. In my human mind, I’m still trying to see what was and still is in it for Jesus. Then I remember the spiritual foundation of love that cannot be moved or shaken from John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” Thank You Jesus!
